So, to summarise, June is a 150 cm x 95 cm oval cast aluminium garden table that is available to purchase as a 4 seater or 6 seater set. It is available in a choice of our Antique Bronze, Slate Grey and White painted finishes.
About our June Oval Garden Tables
Featuring a beautiful lattice tabletop and a classic double-helix border, our June Oval Garden Tables offer a classic design in a modern set. Why purchase a June Oval Garden Table from Lazy Susan?
We’ve published a number of articles on our Blog that act as a guide to what types (i.e. dining, sofa, swing seat, etc) of garden furniture are best, and many of those also look at the advantages and disadvantages of different materials, styles, shapes, etc.
At Lazy Susan, the best advice we can give is to purchase garden furniture that fits with how you and your family like to use your outdoor space. If you’re lucky to have a large plot, then you could ‘zone’ your patio into different functions such as dining, cooking and relaxation, etc. You could then furnish it with a garden table set and garden sofa for example.
However, if space is limited, then a June Oval Garden Table Set will give you options. You need multipurpose furniture that allows you to perform different functions. You can eat at it and sit and soak up the sun for a few hours. OK, it might not be as comfortable as a Sun Lounger but you try eating a meal with friends and family on a garden sofa/sunbed style furniture. When it comes to our June Garden Tables, in particular, its popularity is primarily down to its mid-range size (4 or 6 Seater) and the practicality of oval-shaped tables. Size-wise it is the perfect set for a family, and with the average size of a patio in the UK being around 15-20 metres square, it will fit on the space with plenty of room for other items such as a BBQs, planters, etc and that all-important safe “working” space to walk around and let the space ‘flow’ (more of that later).

Our June Oval Garden Tables, like the bulk of our collection, is constructed from high-grade sand-cast aluminium which has numerous advantages over other materials found in our industry. It will not rot, pit or rust and, our durable painted finish will protect the metal from the elements, so it will not fade in the sun and is water-resistant.
The other big advantage cast aluminium has over other materials is that it is extremely low maintenance. No need to store it indoors or cover the set in winter (although I do personally just to keep it clean) and all it needs is a wash down with warm soapy water and maybe a little car wax to give it a little extra lustre and protection. No sanding or painting is needed.
Our designs are timeless and classic, so they won’t go out of style. The traditional sand casting process we use to build them is combined with modern production techniques to ensure the finished product is of extremely high quality. Why purchase an oval garden table?
Our oval garden tables have always been a best-seller and for good reason. Just as that elongated form works well in a kitchen or dining room, so too does it transfer to the patio and garden. Not only is it an appealing looking shape, but it also has some practical advantages over other shapes.
No sharp corners make it easier to pull up additional seating and squeeze a few more guests around. Those curved edges also help to create the illusion that they take up less space. In terms of actual footprint, there's not that much difference between a rectangular garden table and an oval, however, the curves trick the eye into thinking there is, and although they do reduce the space a little, the overall effect is always a lot greater.
If you’re deliberating what shape table will work best in your garden, then the oval garden tables are a sensible option. They offer the best of all shapes and combine the linear dining-style benefits of a rectangular with the intimacy and flexibility of a round table.
Personally speaking, and I know many of the Lazy Susan team agree with me, oval garden tables tend to fit well on a mid to larger size patio. The June table allows you to create the right scale (not too big but not too small), whilst the oval shape allows for easy movement and flow around it.
Oval shaped tables function well in terms of both informal and formal-style dining, while the rounded edges are great for complementing the curves we often find in our gardens or contrasting against/softening a straight-edged patio/deck.
If you have quite a square/rectangular space, then an oval garden table can often help to soften it whilst still fitting perfectly in it. And if you need to open up a narrow patio or garden, and make it feel bigger, then that slimmer form will create the illusion of space.

How to style your June Oval Garden Tables
Choosing a garden table is a sizeable investment, so it makes sense to do a little research and make a more informed purchase. Take the time to consider your budget, outdoor space and how you like to use it. Our June oval cast aluminium garden tables are guaranteed to bring a touch of style to your garden but they’re also constructed to sit outside and require minimum TLC to keep them looking good for many years to come.
A mid-sized oval table will always make a statement and it will become the main focal point on your patio area. Much like a kitchen inside the home, a garden table is the outdoor component people will gather around. It will create impact and help to soften any harsh edges the space may have. Sitting around such a beautiful garden table will create inclusivity but the surrounding patio and wider garden need to work with it, you want to frame it with planting and emphasise that beauty.
Styling is key to creating a space you want to spend time in and a table you want to use when the weather is fine. All our garden tables feature beautiful intricate pattern-work. Getting the balance right between not too small that it looks lost and not too big that it doesn’t function all whilst having a set that works for you/your family is a tricky one. Just remember that you don’t want a space to feel empty. That said if you have a patio, then garden tables and chairs overhanging the space is a big no-no. However, if you’re working with a smaller space a few larger items such as a June set can actually make the space feel bigger. Lots of smaller sized items can make it feel too busy. Less is often more but make sure it fits and there’s space to sit, walk around, etc. - Zone your patio and outside space

How to assemble June Oval Garden Tables
Our June Oval Garden Tables are supplied to you as Ready To Assemble (RTA). It is not flatpack in the traditional sense of the word. This is premium quality materials shipped to you in its component parts (tabletop with legs off) and is easy to build. It is securely packaged for ease of shipping but when constructed it has the strength and good looks you want from your outdoor furniture.
We provide clear instructions, parts and tools for the construction of our June set, and all fixings are provided for you in a separate card ‘pop-out’ packet. The video below (and the chaps above) show you how easy it is to assemble our June Oval Tables:
Where you see a crossed through spanner symbol in our instructions, this means that at this stage of the assembly process you should only loosely tighten the bolts in the diagram. Later in the process, when further all pieces are in place, you will be prompted to tighten them using the spanner provided. This is especially important when attaching the legs to a chair seat or tabletop. Finger tighten only at first and then when all four are in place, you can ensure everything is level.

June Garden Table Specifications & Dimensions
The diagram above shows the recommended floor space we suggest for our June Oval Garden Tables, while the dimensions of the table itself, as found in our shop, are shown below.
The question you need to ask before you buy is do you have the space you need for the table? Space for you to comfortably sit at the chairs and enough left for the patio to still function, i.e. pull the chairs out and walk around safely when people are seated? This is what we referred to above as the ‘working space’ and you can see what we recommend (the light blue 75cm area) for our June set in the diagram above.
It is the space needed for you and your family/guests to comfortably pull chairs out, to sit/get up and freely move around when people are seated. Now the floor space diagram is again just a guide, you may feel you can work with a little less working space for example. As we say, each patio is different, just take these measurements and apply them to the ‘free’ outdoor space you have available/where want the set to fit when used.
Every space is different. There could be planters, a BBQ, fire pit, steps, pizza oven, walls, other pieces of outdoor furniture such as a sofa, different shapes of patio, etc. All factors that need to be taken into account! Our June table on its own is 150 cm long by 95 cm wide (as shown in the dimensions diagram and floor plan). Add onto that 75 cm for the chairs and 75 cm of ‘Working Space’ and you need free space on a patio of 300 cm by 245 cm for that set to work.
Once the set is in place, the patio still needs to 'function' and 'flow', whilst allowing for the number of people you want to sit (4 or 6 in the recommended case of our June table) comfortably around it with enough space for people to safely walk around, etc.
June Garden Tables Delivery
Depending on if you've ordered the June 4 Seater or 6 Seater Oval Garden Table Set, and what garden chairs you pair it with, your furniture will be shipped via Parcel Force, DPD Local, DHL, FedEx, Simply Parcels or XDP.
The 4-seater June sets with April, Rose, Emma and Kate chairs are generally sent as parcels and we would expect these orders to be dispatched from our warehouse within 2/3 working days, with a further 24/48 hours for delivery. Our couriers will contact you to keep you updated with tracking information and expected delivery times, so please provide a mobile number when you place your order.
The 6-seater June sets with any of our garden chairs are generally shipped via XDP or Simply Parcels, and depending on the size of your order (e.g. if you add other items such as parasols or a garden bench for example) they will either be a 1 or 2 man delivery. If it is a larger order, and therefore a 2 man delivery, your furniture will carefully be delivered to your garden, patio or a room of your choice, ready for you to assemble. Again, please provide a mobile number when you place your order as this will allow the courier to update you with tracking and delivery times.
For all orders that are sent by Simply Parcels, you will be contacted via text or email within 3/5 working days of your order to advise you when they will be delivered. For orders shipping via XDP, we would expect the parcels to be dispatched from our warehouse within 2/3 working days and then delivered within 24-48 hours. However, if at any stage of the process you have any questions, please contact our Customer Service Team or contact the courier direct.
