Why purchase our Alice Round Garden Tables?
We’ve published a host of posts on our Blog that look in detail at what types of garden furniture (i.e. dining, sofa, swing seat, etc) are best, and many of those discuss the advantages and disadvantages of different materials, styles, shapes, etc too.

The main advantage cast aluminium has over other materials such as wood, rattan or plastic is that it is extremely low maintenance. No need to store it indoors or cover the set in winter (although I do personally just to keep it clean) and all it needs is a simple wipe down with warm soapy water and maybe a little car wax to give it a little extra lustre and protection.

The big advantage of a round table over other shapes is that because there are no corners, they have a smaller footprint, making them suitable for smaller/tighter patios. You can also fit more people around when you have additional guests as there are no corners and the recessed legs of our Alice tables provide plenty of legroom.
A round table is perfectly suited to a semi-formal and relaxed style of dining as all guests are facing each other with no heads at the table. How to style Round Garden Tables
It makes sense to do a little research before you purchase a new garden table so that you can make a more informed purchase and get a set that will fit and work. Take a little time to consider your budget, outdoor space, how you like to use it and measure up before you click add to basket and checkout.
A mid-sized round garden table such as our Alice range will help to make a statement and focal point on your patio. The soft curves will deliver visual impact and can help to soften any sharp edges the space may have. You want a set that fits into the surrounding patio/wider outdoor space but doesn’t look lost. A good garden table should help to draw the eye (and person) outside and invite you to sit and use it. And the best way to do that is to frame it, emphasise it and style it.
Styling is key to creating an outdoor space that you and your family will love spending time in. All our garden tables feature beautiful intricate pattern-work. They look beautiful on their own but that beauty can be enhanced with some simple styling and accessories.
The key to styling our Alice (or any of our) garden tables is to put your own personal stamp on them. Make it yours and think of the garden table as an extension of your home. The more your outdoor space showcases your style and is set up with how you like to use it, the more you will do just that.
Don't be afraid to mix different materials, think about the colour scheme, add outdoor accessories such as Garden Cushions, Garden Rug, Outdoor Decor and bring it to life like you would a room inside the home. Good scale and proportion are key to creating a space that not only functions but looks good. We covered this in our What size garden table should I buy post a few months back. Achieving a balance between not too small that it looks lost and not too big that it doesn’t function.
If you have a small garden then a few larger items such as an Alice set can actually make the space feel bigger than packing it with smaller pieces. Less is more but make sure it fits and there’s space to sit, walk around, etc.

How to assemble our Alice Garden Tables
Our Alice Round Garden Tables will be shipped to you as Ready To Assemble (RTA). This is not flatpack in the traditional sense of the word. These are premium quality materials shipped to you in their component parts (i.e. tabletop with legs off).
All our furniture is simple to build. It is securely packaged for ease of transport but when constructed it has the strength and good looks you would expect from good quality garden furniture.
We provide clear instructions (as shown above), parts and tools for the construction of our Alice sets, and all fixings are provided for you in a separate card ‘pop-out’ packet.

When you see a crossed through spanner symbol in our instructions, this simply means that at this stage of the assembly process you should only loosely finger-tighten the bolts and then tighten fully when all parts are in place with the spanner provided. This ensures that table and chair legs for example are fitted level/in the correct position.

Alice Specifications & Dimensions
The diagram above shows the recommended floor space we suggest for our Alice Round Garden Tables, while the dimensions of the table itself, as found in our shop, are shown in the illustration below.
The question you need to ask before you buy is do you have the space you need for the Alice Garden Table (120cm diameter), for you to comfortably sit in the 4 or 6 Garden Chairs (+75cm) and enough left for the patio to still function, i.e. pull the chairs out and walk around safely when people are seated (we recommend between +50-75cm)? This is what we refer to in the diagram above as the ‘working space’.
The working space is that little bit of room you need to comfortably pull chairs out, to sit and get up and freely move around when people are seated. The 75cm is just a guide, you might think you can work with a little less. Every patio is different, so measure carefully and apply the above to the ‘free’ outdoor space you have available/where want the set to fit when used.
Make sure you take into account any other permanent items such as large planters, a BBQ, fire pit, pizza oven, walls, steps, other pieces of outdoor furniture such as a sofa, different shapes of the patio, etc. Draw it out to scale on a piece of graph paper if need be to better help visualise.
Our Alice tables on their own have a diameter of 120cm. Add on the 75 cm for the chairs and 75 cm for your ‘Working Space’ and you need approximately 5.73m² of free space give or take on your patio. This sounds a lot, but the average size of a patio in the UK is around 15-20m², so you can see why Alice is a popular seller as it has the right scale and proportion.
However, this is all only a guide. Take the customer photo above. The actual patio is on the small side, we would guess less than what we are recommending. However, Alice fits on it. Yes, you are up to the edge of the stone, and while you wouldn't want the chair legs overhanging onto the lawn, it can be classed as working space!
Alice Shipping & Delivery
Depending on if you order the Alice 4 Seater or Alice 6 Seater Round Garden Tables and what garden chairs you pair it with, your furniture will be shipped via Parcel Force, DPD Local, DHL, FedEx, Simply Parcels or XDP.
The 4 seater Alice sets with April, Rose, Emma and Kate chairs are generally shipped as parcels and we would expect these orders to be dispatched from our warehouse within 2/3 working days with a further 24/48 hours for delivery.
Our couriers will contact you to keep you updated with tracking information and expected delivery times, so please provide a mobile number when you place your order.
The 6 seater Alice sets with any of our garden chairs are generally shipped via XDP or Simply Parcels, and depending on the size of your order (e.g. if you add other items such as parasols or a garden bench for example) will either be a 1 or 2 man delivery.
If it is a larger order and therefore a 2 man delivery job, your furniture will carefully be delivered to your garden, patio or a room of your choice, ready for you to assemble. Again, please provide us with a mobile number when you place your order as this will allow the courier to update you with tracking and delivery times.
For all orders that are sent by Simply Parcels, you will be contacted via text or email within 3/5 working days of your order to advise you when they will be delivering.
For all orders shipping via XDP, we would expect the parcels to be dispatched from our warehouse within 2/3 working days and then delivered within 24-48 hours.
