A thank you from St Wilfrid’s Hospice

You might of recently read our blog or social media posts regarding the Greenfingers charity? We’d received a letter of thanks for the furniture we donated to their Turn Old Into Gold auctions.

Well, the Lazy Susan team and I were delighted to receive another letter thanking us for our generosity, this time it was from the Retail Director at St Wilfrid’s Hospice.

And just like the good people at Greenfingers, St Wilfrid’s were expressing their gratitude for the garden furniture we recently donated to them to sell on in their stores to raise some much needed funds.

St Wilfrid's Hospice

Who are St Wilfrid’s Hospice?

St Wilfrid’s are a local independent charity who’s Donation Centre is on the same road as our Chichester showroom.

St Wilfrid’s new shop at Terminus Road, Chichester, is now fully open and operational as a Furniture Outlet and Donation Centre. If you’d like to donate furniture please call them on 01243 530518 to arrange a collection, or smaller items can be dropped off at the rear of the building. Why not pop along this weekend? Open 9-5pm Mon-Sat and 10-4pm Sunday.

They support people in the last phase of their lives by providing personal and medical care. Our donations help them to buy medical equipment, drugs and to pay for medical staff.

For over 30 years this wonderful organisation has done some incredible work caring for and supporting our local community.

What St Wilfrid’s Do

St Wifrid’s aim is to inspire their staff to be the best they can be and embody their Hospice values – accountability, collaboration, compassion, excellence and people focused.

They provide high quality specialist palliative and end of life care in collaboration with the NHS and other local services.

With a catchment area that runs between Emsworth to the west and Arundel to the east, south of the downs to the coast, they are right on our doorstep.

Make a difference by turning donated goods into cash!

Last year their shops raised an incredible £1.9million towards the £7.5million it cost to run the Hospice.

Every item that is bought and most items that are generously donated, contribute to raising funds for St Wilfrid’s Hospice so they can continue making a difference to local lives.

If you’d like to get involved, you’ll find more info on their Donate Goods page.

Garden furniture donation from Lazy Susan

Georgia Modern Garden Chair
Our Georgia Modern Garden Chair

Our most recent donation was a large quantity of our Georgia, Abigail, Milly and Lea Modern style garden chairs, which you’ll now find for sale in St Wilfrid’s charity stores.

The Lazy Susan Modern garden chair range features a durable aluminium frame that is light and strong, combined with an outdoor mesh fabric that is sturdy and comfortable.

Hopefully, they’ll raise some much needed funds, and provide a positive contribution for local patients and families of the Hospice.
