New Lazy Susan Website for 2016

We’re delighted to announce that the new Lazy Susan website for 2016 is now live.

The site has been redesigned specifically to help improve your shopping experience, making it easier to choose the right garden furniture, with improved responsiveness, and even greater shopping security.

There’s a host of new features all designed to help you find that perfect garden furniture set. From our improved ‘mega menu’ to the cleaner layout and large page banners, the site is constructed to ensure shopping with Lazy Susan is simple and hassle free.

The new site is designed to be responsive to different devices, from desktop to mobile, it delivers optimal viewing and interaction with a minimum of resizing, panning, and scrolling.

As far as possible the new site is future-proofed, with the capability for us to easily update the site with new products and features as and when they’re required.

Fresh Neutral Design

Less is more with our new layout. Bold, clean and easy to navigate, that’s the brief we gave the design team. The internet is a big place, it can be easy for a website to get lost, you’ve got to stand out from the crowd.

A busy, cluttered website will simply make visitors bounce before they’ve even had a chance to look at the garden furniture. We think our new site makes a statement. It draws attention to our products and makes browsing so much easier for the user.

Improved Homepage Banner

The homepage banner is designed to make a splash. As soon as you land on our website, you can see what we’re all about. High quality metal garden furniture at great prices. Special offers and great deals for our customers! New customers can clearly see what Lazy Susan offer from the moment they land on our Homepage.

Mega Menu

New Website Mega Menu

The new Mega Menu is a key feature of the new design.

One of the features we’re most proud of is the new and improved ‘Mega Menu’ shown in the picture above. There’s no point in just having a site that just looks good. Navigation is the key to a good web design. You need to be able to move around from page to page, section to section, with ease. Find exactly the product you’re looking for in a couple of clicks.

Hover your mouse cursor our Mega Menu and it brings up all the main Lazy Susan product categories. One click and you’re looking at the range of sets/pieces you want. Be that all our 4 Seater tables, 6 seater sets or garden benches for example. It’s a static menu too, so it runs across the top of every page, meaning you can easily jump from section to section and back again.

New Trade Section

Lazy Susan Trade Section

Our new trade section is dedicated to our growing B2B market.

As well as serving homeowners both home and abroad, Lazy Susan has expanded our business to supply a large number of trade customers across the UK.

For example, our garden tables and chairs can be now found on site at both The Queens Club and Wimbledon Tennis Club. The maintenance free, weather proof nature of our garden furniture means that they can be kept court side all year round if the clubs so wish.

New Responsive Mobile Design

As smartphone and tablet adoption rapidly increases, so does the importance of having mobile-friendly websites that are responsive to the vast array of different size screens found on these devices.

We’ve already seen mobile sales overtake desktop sales in recent years, while mobile internet usage overtook desktop internet usage for the first time in 2015. It’s only a matter of time before mobile search engines follow suit and overtake desktop searching.

Research tells us that close to 70% of web shoppers claim they’re more likely to purchase from a mobile-friendly site, and companies that rely on Search Engines to drive potential customers to their sites, such as Lazy Susan, are wise to begin making the transition to mobile-friendly websites, and responsive web design in particular.

A responsive website delivers the best user-experience across all these different devices and screen sizes. And our new site is specifically designed to work well regardless of all these variables, it will provide our customers with a more consistent user-experience. All the same features and content are there, they simply respond to ‘fit’ the device you choose to browse it on!
