Lazy Susan makes Christmas garden furniture donation to Daelzicht

With the festive season in full swing here at Lazy Susan HQ, the team has just made a large Christmas garden furniture donation to a charity close to our European distribution hub in the Netherlands called Daelzicht...

After opening our new European distribution hub in the Netherlands earlier this year, Michael Scott and the Lazy Susan team have just made our first Dutch-based charity donation.

As part of our ongoing Do Some Good charity initiative, and in partnership with our logistics team at Jan Krediet, we've donated £3000 worth of garden furniture to Daelzicht, who provide care, support and guidance to children, young people and adults with Intellectual Disabilities (ID).

The donation was collected by the Daelzicht team yesterday.

We selected a variety of different sizes and styles of garden tables, bistro sets, garden chairs and a range of accessories from the Lazy Susan Collection.

The van loaded up and ready to head off to Daelzicht.

Our donation included the popular Alessia, London Rose, Eve and Ella bistro sets, our best-selling Catherine, Charlotte, Frances, Jill, Mia and Alice garden tables, a selection of coordinating garden chairs and a host of accessories such as parasols, garden benches and outdoor cushions to finish off each garden furniture set.

We understand that the team at Daelzicht plan to keep a number of the sets for their care homes and sell some of the others to raise some much-needed funds.

About our Do Some Good charity initiative

About our Do Some Good charity initiative

At Lazy Susan we believe in helping those in need and supporting great causes both at home in the UK and abroad.

Our Do Some Good charity campaign was launched by Michael in 2015, and since that time we have donated over £350,000, with an astonishing £190,000 donated in 2021 alone.

This year also saw the introduction of a Staff Initiative, where we gave each member of the Lazy Susan team the opportunity to select a charity of their choosing and we donated £1000 to each of them.

You will find full details on where that money went in our update on our Do Some Good staff charity initiative article.

2022’s final figures are yet to be totted up but we will look to publish an update in the New Year on here and our Do Some Good page.
