Lazy Susan makes a donation to Enable Ability's Christmas raffle

With Christmas fast approaching, we’ve organised a host of festive fundraising activities as part of Do Some Good charity campaign.

The team have recently volunteered at the Lifehouse to help them get their decorations up, we have our Christmas jumper day coming up, and we’ve just made a generous donation to Enable Ability to support their Christmas Fair.

The Enable Ability team have just sent us a lovely thank you letter and informed us that our contribution to their Grand Raffle has truly made a difference.

Hollie Sherred, Partnerships and Events Officer, informed us that they are incredibly grateful for our kindness and generosity:

“On behalf of Enable Ability, I want to extend our heartfelt thanks for your generous support of our Christmas Fair. Your contribution to our Grand Raffle has truly made a difference, and we are incredibly grateful for your kindness and generosity. We are delighted to share that the Christmas Fair raised an incredible £1,578.50! This fantastic achievement would not have been possible without the generous support of donors like you.”

Hollie went on to say that our contribution not only helped them to create a joyful and inclusive event for their community but it will also have a lasting impact on the lives of their service users:

“The funds raised at the fair will enable us to continue offering vital programmes and services that empower individuals with disabilities to lead more fulfilling and independent lives. With your help, we can continue to provide opportunities for personal development, social engagement, and meaningful experiences that our service users cherish. Whether it's through new resources, activities, or the care and support that our team provides daily, your donation will directly enhance the quality of life for those who depend on Enable Ability."

Enable Ability is an independent charity for the care, welfare and advancement of disabled people in Portsmouth and the surrounding area.

They work in partnership with disabled children and adults, their families and carers, to provide a range of inclusive, high-quality, professional and confidential services.

Supporting people with severe disabilities as well as those whose needs are at a more ‘mild to moderate’ level, altogether, they provide for approximately 500 children and adults via a growing number of services.

The charity is funded through Local Authority contracts, grant awarding bodies (e.g. Children in Need and The National Lottery), fees, donations, fund-raising events, investments and rental income.
