Designed to withstand the temperamental UK weather, our parasols feature durable fibreglass inner ribs to provide flexibility and strength in strong gusts of wind. Pair with one of our strong, cast iron, parasol bases for an extra sturdy foundation. With an intricate lattice design, our parasol bases are available in a variety of finishes.

Our parasols are made of an easy care fabric which can simply be wiped clean to keep them looking as good as new.

Styles of parasols

All of our parasols are designed to be easy to clean, operated by an easy-to-use crank handle and effortlessly stylish in any garden. With diameters ranging from 2.5m to 3.5m, you’ll be able to find an ideal match for your garden furniture.

We also offer a wide range of colours to help you design and coordinate with our matching cushions. For a subtle finish, try our stone grey parasols to give your patio a neutral palette. Alternatively, you could make a statement with a bold accent colour, such as our blue or terracotta parasols.

For maximum stability and safe everyday use, we recommend that all centre-pole parasols are used in conjunction with both a garden table and our parasol bases.

Cast iron parasol bases

While other designs often require a filling, such as sand or water, our parasol bases are sturdy and made with 10kg of solid cast iron. With a compact, space-saving design, they’re easy to move and strong enough to withstand the unpredictable British weather.

You’ll find a variety of colours to complement our parasol range. Our sandstone metal parasol base can help brighten up your seating area, while our slate grey bases are ideal for modern designs.

How do you know what size parasol to buy?

Match the parasol size to your furniture. A 2.5 metre parasol suits a bistro set or smaller table, while 3 metres plus works best for larger dining tables and loungers.

How to pick a parasol?

Consider diameter, colour, whether you need it to tilt, ease of use (all our outdoor umbrellas have a wind-up handle) and base weight.

Can the sun get through a parasol?

Whilst a garden parasol can offer quite a bit of protection, it is possible for the sun to penetrate. It’s best to locate the table in partial shade if possible, wear UV sunscreen and limit exposure to the sun’s rays in the middle of the day.

Should I leave my parasol open?

When your parasol isn’t in use, you should always close it and keep it secure. This prevents potential damage from large gusts of wind, which can bend the pole of your parasol, snap its ribs, and more.

How should I clean my parasol?

You can clean your Lazy Susan parasol using mild washing-up liquid or laundry detergent and lukewarm water. Start by sweeping or hoovering away any loose dirt or debris, then use a soft-bristled brush to apply the cleaning solution to the fabric. Leave the soapy water to soak for around 10 minutes, then rinse with a water hose and leave fully open to air dry.

Do parasol bases fit all parasols?

Yes, our parasol bases are compatible with all parasol sizes available on our website. Each base comes with a spacer, designed to provide added stability when used with 2.5m and 2.7m diameter parasols.
