Last weekend we sent out a couple of emails to those who've recently purchased garden furniture from us, asking them to snap a few photos of their new sets in-situ for our Do Some Good campaign.
As always, the response has been incredible, and owner Michael Scott was able to make a generous £2,700 donation to the LifeHouse in Southsea...
All thanks to the photographs submitted by our customers!
This is not a charity we've worked with before, but they were brought to Michael's attention by a member of the Lazy Susan team, and he was only happy to reach out and support them via their Just Giving page.
About Lifehouse
The LifeHouse is a resource, support centre and kitchen that serves hot food. Situated on the Albert Road in Southsea, their aim is to target the immediate needs and issues of those suffering homelessness and addiction in the Southsea and Portsmouth area.
Many in Lazy Susan's home city are facing desperate situations, but whatever the circumstances, the LifeHouse's aim is to show that there is a way out. They reach out with a plan to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to improve their situation through a wide variety of support services.
The LifeHouse is backed by a not-for-profit charity and run by a Manager, Trustees and a wonderful, enthusiastic team of volunteers, offering practical resources and support for those in need.
You can find out more about them, the wonderful work the team do in our local community, and make your own donation at LifeHouse.org.uk.
About the Lazy Susan 'Do Some Good' campaign
We want to donate as much as we can to the NHS and our chosen charity partners in 2020, but to do so, we need your help.
There's a few simple ways you can get involved:
- Simply send us a few photos of your Lazy Susan furniture in your garden to [email protected].
- Share your photos and tag us at @LazySusanFurniture on Facebook or @lazysusanfurniture on Instagram.
- Or post a review on Trustpilot
We’ll donate £10 for every set of photographs you send or review you post, however, we'll increase that to £20 for photos showing the table dressed to impress.
So far in 2020 alone we’ve donated:
- £10,000 to Colonel Tom's Walk for the NHS
- £2,500 to FareShare
- £2,500 to Foodcycle
- £3,000 to St Wilfrid's Hospice
- £2,000 to 11 year old Ted who ran a marathon for Living Paintings.
- And now £2,700 to the LifeHouse
All because of the photographs you've sent us!
