The Woburn
Sitting proudly at the heart of picturesque Woburn Village, you’ll find The Woburn – a charming 18th-century property that came under the stewardship of the award-winning Oakman Group in March 2021. The restaurant has a new look and feel, offering a menu which features a range of dishes given a distinctive taste by cooking on a charcoal grill, as well as pork belly, lamb rump, pasta, salads and a choice of Sunday roasts.
Part of the Duke of Bedford Estates, The Woburn has 48 hotel rooms plus seven stylish and individually-decorated cottages that sit just across the courtyard from the main building. There is ample free parking, making The Woburn the perfect base to explore the famous local attractions such as Woburn Safari Park and Woburn Abbey. Woburn Golf Club, which has hosted The British Masters, is only a decent tee shot away, while the shops of Milton Keynes are within easy reach. Little Dane Court is a 500 year old house in the centre of Tenterden Kent run as a bed and breakfast for visitors to the local vineyards and famous gardens. It has an enclosed courtyard at the back of the house which is ideal for al fresco breakfasts in the summer months. Rod Hardingham, the owner, bought sets of Lazy Susan tables and chairs seven years ago to furnish the courtyard and has been impressed with how well they have performed over the years and still look as new.
