The Web site doesn't do it justice, the frame and main post are aluminium and the post is a chunky 48mm diameter. It has a mechanical winder to lift and lower the parasol, the parasol is big, big enough to shade the table and all the chairs. You will need a good stand to keep it in place.
everything is perfect
We ordered the parasol retrospectively are extremely pleased we did it has made a huge difference to us as we are able to sit out for much longer in the garden with added protection of the parasol

Be aware of the hole size in your table. I had to grind out a little to fit the parasol pole to it. More of a table fault than the parasol.
